Welcome to the website. I am honored that you chose to visit and I hope you find the content insightful and inspiring. My goal is to use this site as a forum to uncover and discuss timeless principles that can enable us to live great lives.
I remember when I was a kid and I first learned how to play basketball, the sport that I later became obsessed with. At first I had no idea what was going on. I focused all my energy on dribbling and shooting (or more like throwing ball as high as possible in the direction of the rim). I begged my dad to take me to game since I “knew how to play basketball.â€
At the game, I was totally lost. The players were running up and down the court, the ref kept on stopping the game, certain shots were different points. I had no idea what was going on. I went home and realized that unless I learned to rules of the game, I didn’t really “know how to play basketball.â€
As I got older I realized that knowing the rules was good, but if I wanted to excel, I needed to study the strategies as well.
Life is the same way. We go through our days and are always busy with something. We are coming and going, buzzing with emails, making and returning calls, going to school or work, etc. And while we think we know everything about life, we deep down feel a little lost. We are working hard, but don’t feel as successful and we’d like to be. We have so much but don’t feel as happy as we want to be. Every once in a while we stop and ask ourselves: why are we surviving, and not thriving, in life.
The answer is that we are not clear on the rules. Life, like everything else, has rules by which it operates. God created a world and infused it with certain basic principals. The underlying rules and strategies are there, waiting for us apply them to better our lives.
The purpose of this website is to uncover those rules and discuss those strategies. To highlight underlying principles so we can better integrate them into our lives.
I am excited for it and I hope you enjoy. Please be in touch. I intend for this to be more of a conversation than anything else.
